What you will learn

The course gives your whole team a shared way of using Microsoft Copilot (formerly Microsoft 365 Copilot) in everyday work.

By the end of the course you can:

  • Write prompts that give useful answers in the apps you use every day.

  • Use Copilot on text, numbers, meetings, and presentations.

  • Choose whether a task belongs in an app, in a notebook, or with an agent.

About the course

Details and modules

  • Lessons

    The course has seven lessons:

    • Chat (Work IQ): Using the morning's round of introductions, build a prompt one element at a time, and let Copilot answer from one or more of your files. See how Work IQ finds emails and documents even when you have not attached them, and try a voice conversation.
    • Excel: Clean up data, find patterns, and have Copilot write formulas, apply formatting, and build charts and a dashboard. Finally, Copilot writes VBA for you.
    • Teams: Schedule a meeting and use Copilot during it. Afterwards, review the automatic recap, write your own, and then a more detailed one.
    • Outlook: Summarise emails, draft replies and new emails, get coaching on your writing, and let Copilot find a meeting time.
    • Word: Draft a document, work in the Copilot compose box and the side pane, give Copilot other files as context, and dictate with your microphone.
    • PowerPoint: Have Copilot build a deck from your own files, with speaker notes and visuals. Change one slide at a time, translate the deck, and use both built-in and custom skills.
    • Agents and notebooks: Use prebuilt agents and build your own from scratch. Put a project's files in a notebook, ask questions about them, and get an audio overview. Finally, learn when to use an agent and when to use a notebook.

Changes: New features are added to Microsoft Copilot continuously. When relevant, we incorporate them into the course to cover the latest capabilities, so the topics above may change accordingly.

  • Target audience

The course is for anyone who wants to work more effectively with AI and use Microsoft Copilot in their daily work, especially people in administration, project management, education, marketing, finance, and IT.

  • Prerequisites

You do not need to know anything about AI beforehand. You only need some familiarity with Microsoft 365 and a willingness to try something new.

  • Duration and location

The course lasts a full day (7 hours). We agree on the date and location with you, and you choose whether it runs on-site or online.

Online, we draw on our experience from the YouTube channel to keep the teaching lively and interactive on screen.

On-site, we come to you. Travel and accommodation are added to the price by agreement.

  • Equipment and licences

The course runs on the participants' own computers via your Microsoft Copilot licence.

  • Format

The course combines live teaching with practical exercises. Participants work through examples and tasks themselves, with help from the instructor.

  • E-learning

Participants get access to our e-learning during the course and can use it afterwards at their own pace. It lives on I Love Automation, where the content is kept up to date. There are also active communities where participants can get help applying what they learned to their own work.

  • Number of participants

We recommend up to about 15 participants per course. That leaves room for everyone to take part, ask questions, and get help from the instructor.

  • Terms and conditions

Our services follow clear business terms built on mutual trust and simple transactions. Note that all services require prepayment and are non-refundable. Read our terms and conditions for details.

  • Price and booking

The price is fixed regardless of the number of participants, which makes the course a good fit for teams that want thorough teaching at a good price.
